| Solid Fuel - Running the system
with only the solid fuel boiler working.

|
|
Heat leak radiator has circuit at all
times -Sometimes gravity and sometimes pumped
Red = Flow. Blue = Return. Orange =
Preheated Return. White = Not flowing.
Function 1.
Gravity Circuit for the Solid Fuel Boiler when in Slumber Mode or power cut.
When the fire has been first lit, or it is in
slumber mode, (in the case of the all night firing appliances), gravity
circulates through the H2 Panel into the hot water cylinder and the heat
leak radiator (when fitted).
|
|
|
Status.
 | Motorized Valve no 22 - Naturally
Open allows gravity circuit to Solid Fuel Boiler via common
return. |
 | Motorized Valve no 8 - Naturally
Open to the Solid Fuel Boiler. (closed to the automatic Boiler) |
 | Motorized Valve no 9 - Naturally
Open. |
 | Motorized Valve no 10/17 - Naturally
Open to the Hot Water Cylinder. (closed to the radiators) |
|
|
Red = Flow. Blue = Return. Orange =
Preheated Return. White = Not flowing.

|
| Function 2.
Pumped Circuit for the Solid Fuel Boiler when in Hot Water Mode.
As the fire builds up heat, the flow temperature
rises (detected by the pipe thermostat on the solid fuel flow) the
motorized valve No.9 is closed to shut off the gravity circuit and the
pump is switched on.
The above gravity circuit is now pumped through the H2 Panel into
the hot water cylinder and the heat leak radiator (when fitted)
In hot water mode, motorized Valve no 10/17 is naturally
open to the hot water cylinder. (closed to the radiators)
|
|
Status.
 | Motorized Valve no 22---- Motored
closed to prevent link up mode. |
 | Motorized Valve no 8------Naturally Open to the Solid Fuel
Boiler. (closed to the automatic Boiler) |
 | Motorized Valve no 9----- Motored
Closed to shut off the Gravity Circuit. |
 | Motorized Valve no 10/17 Naturally Open to the Hot Water
Cylinder. (closed to the radiators) |
|
|
Red = Flow. Blue = Return. Orange =
Preheated Return. White = Not flowing.

|
|
Function
3.
Pumped Circuit for the Solid Fuel Boiler when in Hot Water and Heating Mode.
As above in function 2, but in hot water and heating
mode motorized Valve no 10/17
is motored to mid position the heat is diverted to both the hot water
cylinder and the radiator
system.
|
|
Status.
 | Motorized Valve no 22---- Motored
closed to prevent link up mode. |
 | Motorized Valve no 8------Naturally Open to the Solid Fuel
Boiler. (closed to the automatic Boiler) |
 | Motorized Valve no 9----- Motored Closed to shut off the Gravity Circuit. |
 | Motorized Valve no 10/17 Motored To
Mid Position. Open to the Hot Water Cylinder & Radiators. |
|
|
Red = Flow. Blue = Return. Orange =
Preheated Return. White = Not flowing.

|
| Function 4.
Pumped Circuit for the Solid Fuel Boiler when in Heating Mode with Hot Water Satisfied
When the hot water cylinder reaches optimum
temperature (detected by the cylinder thermostat), motorized Valve no 10/17
is motored open to the radiators and closed to the hot water cylinder.
|
|
Status.
 | Motorized Valve no 22---- Motored
closed to prevent link up mode. |
 | Motorized Valve no 8------Naturally
Open to the Solid Fuel Boiler. (closed to the automatic Boiler) |
 | Motorized Valve no 9----- Motored Closed to shut off the Gravity Circuit. |
 | Motorized Valve no 10/17 Motored Open to the Radiators & Closed to the Hot Water Cylinder |
